Elden Ring can be used across gens, but there are restrictions. Elden Ring on Xbox will be fully cross-gen. This means that you can transfer data between current-gen and next-gen consoles. On PlayStation, however, Elden Ring will only allow data to be transferred from PS4 to PS5. It is not possible to transfer save data from PS5 to PS4.
