FFXIV Endwalker Guide – How to Earn Tomestones Of Aphorism and Endgame Gear
After you have completed Final Fantasy XIV and seen its grand finale, it is time to move on to the endgame content and gear grinding. Although it is a simple process, it can take some effort to obtain the full set of level 90 gear. It’s easy if you take your time.
You will need to earn Allagan Tomes of Aphorism, one of the new types of endgame currencies. This is required to obtain gear pieces starting at level 90 (item Level 570) of the Moonward gear set. We’ll show how to earn Tomestones quickly and where to spend them.
How to earn Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
To earn Allagan Tomestones, you will need to complete the Daily Routines in your Duty Locator. Remember that you need to use a level 90 job for them. Each Roulette awards you a set number of Tomestones that can be earned only once per day. Below is a list of Roulettes that you should have and how many Tomestones they will earn.
- Expert: 160 Allagan Tomes of Aphorism (80 for the Roulette, 80 for the Dungeon Run)
- Level 50/60/70/80 –: 120 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
- Leveling – 100 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
- Trials – 60 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
- Main Scenario – 100 Allagan Tomestones for Aphorism
- Alliance Raids – 120 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
- Normal Raids – 60 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
- Mentor – 30 Allagan Tomestones for Aphorism
- Frontlines (PvP). : 50 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
After you have exhausted your Daily Roulettes or you prefer to run the level 90 Dungeons, you can queue up directly into The Dead Ends, Smileton and The Stigma Dreamscape. You will earn 80 Allagan Tomestones and Aphorism for each run.
After finishing the main story, both Smileton (and The Stigma Dreamscape) must be unlocked. They’re necessary to unlock Expert Duty Roulette. You can find help with this by visiting our Smileton or Stigma Dreamscape unlock guide.
This is another way to earn the Tomestones. You’ll need to dig a bit to find a group on Party Finder or Discord. They’ll provide the necessary information and tools to kill the enemies. The basic idea is that players will travel from zone to zone to battle the Elite-level Hunt-marked enemies of level 90. You should be able to earn between 10 and 20 Allagan Tomes of Aphorism for each kill, as well as Allagan Tomes of Poetics and materials that can be exchanged for high-level Materia.
Remember that you have a limit of 2,000 Allagan Totemstones of Aphorism which you can keep at any one time.
Where are the Allagan Tomestones and Aphorism Vendors?
To spend your hard-earned Tomestones, you will need to visit Radz–at-Han to find the vendor Chianti. He is located at X: 10.8, Y: 10.3. It can be found in the left-hand market hallway close to the main Aetheryte. This NPC sells the required gear for each combat job.
Moonward Gear prices
These are the prices you can buy each type of Moondward gear:
- Any Weapon: 500 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
- Body and Legsgear 410 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
- Head and Hands. Footgear – 245 Allagan Tomestones for Aphorism
- Any Accessories: 180 Allagan Tomestones Of Aphorism
Will pay for a complete set of Moonward gear. This total amount is 2,775 Allagan Totems of Aphorism. Although it may seem daunting, this is much easier than in the past. You can complete your set in a week if you take it slow through Daily Roulettes.
What is this Moonward Gear that I am Buying?
All of the weapons, armor, accessories and other items you can get from Allagan Tomestones are available in the Moonward Gear line. Every piece of gear used for different Jobs is modeled on the Final Fantasy IV character counterpart. This is a nice nod as many aspects of Endwalker are based on that game.
Each piece of Moonward gear has a item level 570. Accessories have one Materia slot and two materia slots. These are the highest level gear you can obtain right now, without the need to complete the most recent Extreme Trials. You can earn an ilvl580 weapon and ilvl580 accessories from them. Moonward gear will make you the most attractive candidate for endgame content in future.
A token exchange system may also be included with Patch 6.1. This is similar to the old system. This will allow you to upgrade Moonward gear to Augmented models with higher stats and more item levels. It’s worth buying a set right now.
You need to make sure that you are buying the right gear for your job. Pay attention to the tooltip pop up when you hover over an item in the shop. Once you have spent your Tomestones, there is no way to exchange gear!
