Red Dead Redemption 3 has long been on our minds ever since we finished playing Red Dead 2, but with Rockstar Games seemingly preoccupied by GTA 6, there has been uncertainty as to if and when Red Dead 3 might arrive.

Now, fans have received a tease of RDR3 which has raised much confusion as to where its story could head next. Arthur Morgan actor Roger Clark provided fans with this glimpse by responding to tweets requesting information regarding another game from RDR series.

“RDR3 will undoubtedly come back one day,” noted Clark. “However, when that will be is completely unknown to me. Also don’t count on Arthur being involved – his story has already been told.” One hand gives and another takes away in both an instant.

One fan responded, crying out that Morgan is dearly missed: GTA 6’s Jason has already convinced many fans that RDR2 and its characters will make appearances in GTA 6 (albeit through genetic links; more graphic genetics may exist than actual physical).

While our tears dry, it is time for reality checks: is no Arthur really surprising given his story’s conclusion? Additionally, fans seem wary over another game which expands too far past Wild West-era Rockstar; fans seem reluctant because doing so risks diluting its charm of original two games; nonetheless if another does go ahead fans generally agree a woman lead character would be seen as “welcome change”.

Whatever happens, though, we’ll likely be searching for nursing homes – given some older gamers could be dead before GTA 7 releases, it stands to reason they may also have passed when RDR3 hits shelves.
