Warzone Gulag stays true to the classic design and features a modern twist.
Including a Warzone Gulag was a way to separate the Battle Royale mode of Call of Duty from the pack, opening the possibility of a saloon to take a second chance to win.

At the time of the event, Raven Software unveiled intel on the layout of the Gulag along with a variety of modifications that will surely change the way players play and adjust their methods of play to be eligible for redeployment.

In the live stream, Raven Software revealed the Gulag would keep a standard three-lane layout when Modern Warfare 3 launches, as well as an evening version and the possibility of winning a prize differently.
In the trailer, gamers may be interred in a pitch-black prison, which needs night vision goggles to see the enemy. In addition to the darkness, an overtime flag at the center of the Gulag is gone and replaced by the zipline that allows gamers to create a risky escape.
Based on the feedback on the forums, many people are eager to experience the change. One participant says: “The new Gulag is lit. I love the fact the tiebreaker is the zip line.” But certain players aren’t enthused by the modifications. A third person adds: “Worst idea ever to have a random night vision gulag.”
The Warzone designers aren’t malicious in adjusting different elements of the Gulag. They have created a variety of new layouts over the last few times. Incorporating night vision and zip lines will surely make 1v1 more exciting combat.
We’ll have to be patient for the release of the Urzikstan map before the players can share their opinions about the changes. If Night Vision proves to be a huge success, it could open the doors to different variations of the Gulag that will spice up gaming even more.
