PowerWash Simulator cleans up with 7 million players
PowerWash Simulator has proven itself as one of FuturLab and Square Enix’s only certified hits of late, amassing 7 million players since its release in July 2022 and more than doubling that figure every six months since. If this trend continues, PowerWash may soon surpass GTA 5 as one of its main rivals!
This number includes copies sold and Game Pass players; nevertheless, it remains a significant milestone for such a small team working on an Early Access title. By comparison, Horizon Forbidden West, likely one of the most expensive titles ever developed has sold 8.4 million units worldwide as of April 16, 2023.

The goal of the game is straightforward: use your pressure washer to quickly clear away all of the filth you come across – much like Viscera Cleanup Detail but without all the blood. Plus there’s Tomb Raider! Wow.
PowerWash Simulator may seem unnecessary now, but I may need some practice before AI takes over my job and makes what I do obsolete – after all, they don’t get wet as humans do!
