Invincible Season 2 Release Date, News and What You Should Be Aware of (UPDATED)
Although many anticipated Invincible as yet another trope-filled superhero show, its first season surprised audiences with its dark originality and unexpected deaths in Episode 1. That moment made everyone realize: Invincible wasn’t some simple parody but had real lore and an engaging narrative to explore; fans immediately demanded its sequel when Season 1 wrapped.
Due to Invincible: Season 2’s rising popularity, fans were eager for any details regarding its future and Amazon was quick to provide them. Robert Kirkman confirmed in a tweet shortly before Season 1 concluded that not only is Invincible: Season 2 in production but that its story will continue through at least Season 3. Now that Season 2 development has officially begun, here is what we know so far about its contents:
When is Invincible: Season 2 Coming Out? Amazon Prime recently made the announcement in a teaser spot released January 2023 that Invincible: Season 2 will release by late 2023.
Since mid-2021, fans had anticipated that Season 12 would debut sometime during Fall 2023. Robert Kirkman and the cast have provided updates throughout its creation; voice acting for it has recently finished up; be sure to mark your calendars for its arrival before the year ends!
Season 2 of Invincible remains undecided as far as episodes go; we expect there will be 10 rather than 8. Wind Sun Sky Entertainment and Skybound North are returning as animators on both Seasons 2 and 3, making their animation just as incredible as it was during Season 1.
Who Is In The Cast Of Invincible Season 2?
Invincible’s engaging sound design and voice acting were perfectly in keeping with its animation, so pretty much every original voice actor from Season 1 will return for Invincible: Season 2. Below is a snapshot of some of these original voice actors that’ll return for Season 2.
Steven Yeun will reprise his role of Invincible/Mark Grayson alongside J.K. Simmons (Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man), Sandra Oh (Debbie Grayson), Gillian Jacobs (Samantha Eve Wilkins / Atom Eve), Jason Mantzoukas (Rex Splode) and Jason Mantzoukas (Rex Splode). Additionally, Dupli-Kate Allen the Alien Titan, and Cecil Stedman will make return appearances.
But Omni-Man’s fateful departure into space after beating Mark senselessly may mean you don’t get to witness his traumatizing everyone until several episodes into Invincible: Season 2. Thus, although Omni-Man remains one of the main characters, you might not witness him causing chaos again until later in Invincible: Season 2!

What Is Invincible Season 2 About?
(Spoiler Alert) While many animated shows, like Arcane, make an impression due to their visuals alone, Invincible became the next big thing due to its story. With superhero movies being so prevalent at present, Invincible stands out with its dark tone. This helped put it at the top of its genre.
And while we’re on the topic, many of you are likely wondering what’s next for Mark. Beware: Season 2 holds many surprises in store! After his showdown with his father and learning of the Viltrumite Empire’s plans to invade planets like Earth, Mark joins up with the Coalition of Planets in an attempt to stop their impending threat – although stronger foes than Omni-Man begin appearing while Omni-Man plans on invading new ones to make up for a lost time here on Earth.
