The AGE OF WONDERS EXPANSION PLANS are detailed, including the Outfit Pack, two major DLCs, and more
Paradox Interactive, the publisher of Age of Wonders 4, and Triumph Studios, the developer of the game, today revealed their after-launch plan for Age of Wonders 4. They also shared the first details of the extension pass that we can look forward to in the next year.
The 4x Strategy Game’s expansion pack will include two content packs and two DLCs. These two large DLCs give the player more customization options for their race, both visually as well as in gameplay.

Age of Wonders 4 Premium Edition includes all of these items, though they could be sold separately at a later date.
The Archmage Attire Outfit Pack is the first outfit that unlocks. It gives race leaders a brand new wardrobe to wear. It can be equipped as a set or you can mix it with different clothing pieces.
Age of Wonders 4 Dragon Dawn, a new content pack, is scheduled to be released in the third quarter of 2023. It will allow players to command reptilian minions, to use draconic spells, and to transform their followers into hybrid dragons. The pack includes a new reptilian dragon ruler, new Tomes of Magic, and a new type of dragon ruler.
Age of Wonders 4’s past expansion then releases its first DLC major, Empires and Ashes. This focuses on a resurgence of the mortal empires and allows us to “fuse magic and iron to unleash destructive war machines in order to drive Godir into the Astral Sea. ”
It will be released in the fourth quarter of 2023. This game features a brand new world, a whole new set of Tomes of Magic, and empire-building options.
The developer stated in a Reddit AMA dated April 2023 that “firearms and bombs” should return to the second DLC. ”
Uncertain if Empires and Ashes is the DLC or a second DLC that will be released in 2024. It’s good to know either way.
