Bungie has made a number of changes to Destiny 2, including the aspects and fragment systems.

Subclass 3.0 has been updated in Destiny 2. Each subclass now can have one or more features that alter their playstyle and building possibilities. These aspects reproduce old subclass archetypes. For example, Solar Warlocks could equip an aspect that allowed them to do Icarus Dash, just like the top-tree Dawnblades. The aspect slots are divided into different categories. Players can use these fragment slots to customize their build.

Destiny 2 aligns the subclasses by giving each one a different number of slots for fragments. Slots are usually more limited for powerful aspects, while slots that provide less power tend to be larger. Bungie has changed the aspect slots that currently only provide one. They will now each have two.

Included in these aspects are:

Hunter

  • Trapper’s Ambush
  • Shatterdive
  • Gunpowder Gamble

Titan

  • Bastion
  • Juggernaut

Warlock

  • Chaos Accelerant

Bungie has said that it will not commit to two fragment slots as a minimum in the future. They may make other changes, but for now this change is a good one that allows more flexibility to Destiny 2. builds.

What are your thoughts on the new changes? Comment below. The most exciting change is the addition of Chaos Accelerant. It should be less penalizing to use it now and, given its popularity, should allow Void Warlocks to feel more dynamic.
