“Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” Delayed to 2023
Sefton Hills, the game’s director, confirmed the news via Twitter moments ago. He said that Rocksteady Games needs more time to make the DC action game as great as possible.
Hill wrote, “We have made the difficult decision that Suicide Squad : Kill The Justice League will be delayed until Spring 2023.” I understand that a delay can be frustrating, but we focus our efforts on making the best possible game. I look forward to bringing chaos to Metropolis. I appreciate your patience.
Rumours have been going around that the game wouldn’t make it to its 2022 release window. Bloomberg reported earlier this year that Warner Bros. had “quietly” pushed back the game. This is now confirmed.
Warner Bros. has many more games in the pipeline for this year. The company’s DC superhero brawler Gotham Knights will be released in October. We can also expect the Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Heritage to arrive during the “Holiday”, usually between October and December.
