Record-breaking Twitch Streamer Banned for Criticizing Twitch

David “TheGrefg”, a nominee at The Game Awards, was banned for three days for criticizing Twitch’s suspension policy.

Ginxtv reported that The Grefg discussed Bruneger, the content creator,’s suspension from the platform indefinitely while they were streaming together. Bruner was suspended from Twitch in March 2021. He had nearly 1 million followers. Bruner was guilty of six offences, including holding a prop pistol to his head and his mother accidentally bending over and showing his underwear.

TheGrefg stated that he knew that discussing with suspended streamers could put him at risk of punishment but that he would be streaming again on Friday (25/03/).

Bruneger recognizes that his past actions are justifiable, but he believes this case was neither fair nor equal. Bruneger compared the nudity of his offences to hot tub streaming categories that have a lot more skin. Mostly Bruneger was unhappy that Twitch didn’t give him a straight answer. He claimed that if he had an ending date, he would be able to accept the decision.

TheGrefg also agreed to this point. Bruneger’s content may be considered dangerous, but he should be given a date when he can return. TheGrefg didn’t comment on Bruneger’s unfair or harsh punishment compared to other streamers.

TheGrefg was not banned for his opinions but for giving a suspended streamer a space in the platform. This circumvents his suspension. The entire conversation can be seen on YouTube for anyone who wants to see the drama.
