The Witcher Season 2 was released on Netflix last month. It’s been a huge success with both series fans and Netflix viewers. It’s not surprising that it has led to a resurgence in gamers playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

PC Gamer reports that there have been 71,000 concurrent users since The Witcher Season 2 was released on Netflix. This is a remarkable number, but it does not reach the 92,000 concurrent players of The Witcher 3’s release.

It doesn’t reach the same level as The Witcher Season 1, which saw 100,000 players simultaneously download The Witcher 3. It attracted people, whether veteran gamers who wanted to play again as Geralt or newbies who had never played the Game before.

CD Projekt Red will release a next-gen The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt upgrade this year. It includes new Netflix-inspired DLC and improved visuals. All this will be available for free to all who purchased the PS4 or Xbox One versions.
