THE GOOD LIFE GUIDE: “GENIUS CREATIVITY” SIDE QUEST

Many side quests in The Good Life include photography tasks. It makes sense since Naomi Haywood, a journalist and photographer, is involved in this side quest. Rainy Woods residents are aware of Naomi Haywood’s profession and talents so they don’t hesitate to ask for assistance. Local William Dickens has set a side quest in The Good Life. It is appropriately called “Genius Creativity” since William is a genius and very creative. He needs your help to find inspiration for his novel and asks for a funny favor. He asks you to take photos of gnomes for his novel. It’s simple enough, right? It is, in large part.

There are two side quests to “Genius Creativity”. While the first one is easy, the second can be difficult or impossible. However, it can be confusing if you don’t know what you are looking for. This guide will help you do that.

PART 1 – GENIUS CREATIVITY

This side quest cannot be started without speaking to William. He is a tall, slim, black man wearing a grey pinstripe suit. He can be found at his house which is right across the street from Naomi’s. If he is at home, you can find him at the patio table located around the side. He may also be found at the town hall if he isn’t there. You can find him at the square and Mushroom & Evans on some evenings. He won’t travel beyond Rainy Woods so it won’t take him long to find you.

Talk to him once you have caught him. A green exclamation mark should be placed next to his name. This indicates that he has a task for him. William is an avid novelist but has trouble coming up with ideas. He assigns you an unusual task to help him get out of writer’s block. You are to photograph three gnomes. That’s all. It sounds simple, and it is. But first, you need to find gnomes to photograph.

Rainy Woods is home to gnomes, mostly in gardens. To find them, you will need to search the entire town of Rainy Woods. At most, you should be able find five gnomes in the town. You can take as many gnomes as you want, and a gnome will be replaced with another if it is stolen. You won’t be arrested for stealing any gnomes. You can get anything you want from your The Good Life neighbors; you can even pick their crops! There is no reason to complain.

(For information on specific areas where you can find Rainy Woods gnomes, see the end of this guide.

Once you have found some gnomes you need to collect them for a picture. It’s easy. Simply place them together and take photos of the three gnomes. There are no special lenses that you need. A standard photograph will suffice. You’re fine as long as you have all the gnomes in your photo. Check the photo by opening it in preview mode and then bringing up the tags. If done correctly, the tag “Gnome” should appear three times.

Make sure you are careful about where your gnomes are placed. You might find the gnome gone if you place it in an unattractive spot and then rush to get another one. You should place the gnomes in Naomi’s garden to avoid this. If you leave the gnomes here, they will be safe and secure. The storage box can be used to store the gnomes.

Once you have a great photo of the three gnomes taken, send it back to William. When you speak with William, ensure that the side quest “Genius Creativity”, is selected from his menu. This is necessary if you wish to start the right conversation. William should ask for the photo. He’ll be delighted if you give him the photo of the three Gnomes. If he refuses to take the photo, you can give another one to him or retake it if necessary. As long as he likes the photo, he can have another one.
