The Instant Pot Lux60 6-quart pressure cooker is down to $49 at Amazon

And it’s not even Prime Day, Black Friday or Millard Fillmore’s birthday!

Let us just take it as read that you should never pay full price to get an Instant Pot. The popular pressure-cookers go available all the time, though the discount tends to change. There are times that you save 30 percent, sometimes as much as 40%. On rare occasion, the reduction hits 50%, as it has now.

For a limited period, and while supplies last, Amazon has the Instant Pot LUX60 V3 6-quart 6-in-1 pressure cooker for $49, a complete $50 off the normal price. Note that CNET may find a share of revenue from the sale of the goods featured on this page.

If you are in a hurry, or you would just like to shop elsewhere, then you can even receive the LUX60 V3 from Walmart for exactly the same cost. In my local store, it shows as in-stock and accessible for pickup today. (Your mileage may vary, natch.) You can get free next-day delivery as well.

What’s the distinction between the LUX60 along with the Duo60? The latter offers both large – and low-pressure settings; the former cooks only at high pressure. The Duo60 also includes a yogurt choice the LUX60 lacks and incorporates a hinged, rather than lid.

If you’re still undecided, here is everything you want to know about that Instant Pot version to purchase. And if you are not convinced this is a must-have kitchen appliance (trust me, it is), here are five reasons why you need an Instant Pot — and a few great recipes to get you started.
