The pigeons in Spider-Man 2 are disgustingly adorable
In a video game that is as stunning as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, not everything is as flawless as the exquisitely designed and animated character. The game features a beautiful city, the latest ray-traced reflections, the most advanced characters and much more; something had to be changed to make it appear that it was the birds.
Affiliated to New York City, the big city’s pigeon population can be seen in Insomniac’s most popular game. They’re definitely far from being as gorgeous as the other characters in the game’s technological marvel by its creator.
Thanks to Cade Onder, Spider-Man 2 screenshots illustrate that the game’s bird population appears a bit rough in the latest version. The game doesn’t have fancy feather simulations or tessellated beaks; you’ll see your typical beautiful boxes flying high in the sky.
With the two Spider-Men being able to fly across the concrete jungle using themselves as web-winged pigeons, the birds that inhabit New York City are no longer the rulers of the sky they were. Let’s face it: looking at these pictures and their sexy appearance, they’re not worthy of the title in any way.
A closer view of Spider-Man 2’s pigeons displays blank expressions, high-poly V-shaped wings, and tiny bumps that resemble aspects. Sure, I’d like to have one of them as a pet. I’d give him the name Pidgey Parker. He could be my ugly boxy.
Spider-Man 2 on PS5 is an impressive technical feat; we even say it when we review the game however, it’s important to remember that not all assets within a visually stunning game are always stunning. In the new Marvel game, it’s possible to speed through pigeons with the speed of a plane, but they’ll appear blurred on your viewfinder when you whiz around corners while on an upward incline. They don’t have any reason to appear attractive.
However, in an environment that sees players get fired with a plethora of complaints over the appearance of a puddle that is distinctly different, We are sure that someone is going to be irritated by the adorable, stupid-looking birds.
