Super Mario fans finally know who will be wearing the mustache for the Nintendo character’s new voice because the voice actor has recently made himself known.

This has been a fantastic moment in the world of Nintendo as well as Super Mario fans. There are rumors about a new Nintendo console coming soon, possibly a Nintendo Switch 2 and a Nintendo Switch 3. Still, there’s a myriad of fantastic games coming to the current console from Nintendo.

Perhaps the most anticipated game is Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which is a fresh 2D platformer game that offers Super Mario Bros. a completely new look with regard to gameplay and graphics.

The game features jaw-dropping art and a new spin on games with the game’s level-changing Wonder Flowers as well as brand-new characters and powerups; this is shaping up to be a fun experience for old and new Mario players alike. There is only one thing to ask… does Elephant Mario have fingers?

Apart from the new coat of paint, Mario’s vocal cords have undergone an overhaul. Charles Martinet, who’s voiced the character for about 32 years, has recently left the character and opened the door to a new voice actor to replace him.

After months of speculation, many fans believed they’d discovered the new voice actor, but they were wrong; it’s finally completed, with Mario’s voice actor now stepping into the limelight and announcing they’ll take over the reins of Mario’s Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario’s voice has now been taken over by Kevin Afghani, a pretty young voice-acting world. The most prominent roles he has had so to date have been character voices of Genshin Impact and even a few Nintendo Switch advert voiceovers.

Afghani announced the announcement through their Twitter page, writing: “Incredibly proud to have voiced Mario as well as Luigi as Luigi and Mario in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I am grateful to Nintendo for allowing me to join The Flower Kingdom!”

The fans embraced the actor, who is the new voice in the series, with their responses, thanking Afghani for the chance of a lifetime and looking forward to seeing his appearances in the near future.

“I am awestruck by the clips of voice. I’ve seen that you certainly have some of your passion even though you sound familiar!! For someone who grew up with Mario, I think you’re doing a fantastic job.”

“CONGRATS!!! I look forward to continuing your hard work!”

“Very satisfied with your efforts. A new dream fulfilled, and a job well done.”

Afghanistani’s debut role as Mario as well as Luigi is in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which launches on October 20 on Nintendo Switch.
