PSA: Emotes and finishers are useful in Destiny 2 Guardian Games
Destiny 2’s latest event is now here, and the focus of this event revolves around class warfare. Guardian Games puts Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans together in an attempt to determine which class is best. To do this, players can earn medals by completing class-specific Crucible matches or competing for the highest score during strikes. Players can also earn new cosmetics and loot.
A platinum score in the Supremacy playlist and Competitive Playlist is tied to some great rewards. It’s not difficult to get a platinum score on Destiny 2 Guardian Games Competitive Playlist, as long as you use finishers and emotes.
You can earn medals by completing different tasks in the game. You can earn medals for anything, from using your super to kill a lot of enemies, to not dying.
One of the easiest ways to get a good score is by performing an emote and immediately following it up with a finisher. This combo is not effective against red-bar enemies but can be very useful when you kill a Champion or an enemy with orange bars.
When I am running up to an Unstoppable Champion, I’ll stun, reduce their health, then emote and quickly execute a finisher. Don’t be concerned about whether you have to complete the entire animation.
You can earn three medals if you perform this combination: Giant Slayer Medal, Finishing Touch, and Insult To Injury. You can easily reach Platinum status by doing this with every Champion and orange bar. Next time you’re in Destiny 2 Guardian Games: Competitive and notice someone emoting before a Champion, don’t take their kill.
