Is Capcom Fighting Collection Worth It?
While the world economy may be in trouble right now, one thing is stronger than ever: The nostalgia dollar. There are a lot of remasters, remakes, and compilations of some of the most iconic franchises. S and Switch.
The Capcom Fighting Collection is similar to Street Fighter’s 30th Anniversary Collection, which was released a few decades back. It bundles 10 fighting games into one affordable package. Each game can be upgraded with customizable settings, training modes, save state for arcade ladders, and other features. IsCollectionction worth the PS30/$40+ price tag? It all depends.
The bundle is called Capcom Fighting Collection, but it’s more fitting to call it a Darkstalkers/Vampire Fighting Collection. It includes all arcade ports of all five Darkstalkers titles, with a few bug fixes and, in some cases, the removal of secret endings. While the removal of personal conclusions may be a bit disappointing for DarkstaCollection, it is the first time that the entire collection has been made available in one location since Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection on PS2 was released in 2005. This release did not take place outside of Japan.
Capcom Fighting Collection has some Street Fighter representation, besides the Darkstalkers game mania. Hyper Street Fighter 2 The Anniversary Edition is the definitive Street Fighter 2. You can imagine all versions of Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie rolled into one. This version does not include Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, as the original PS2 release did. We have to give credit for that.
