Overwatch Lunar New Year 2022 Event – End Date, Skins and More
The Overwatch Lunar New Yearevent has already begun, even though Blizzard only recently called time on the Winter Wonderland. Although the shooter may be well over five years old now, seasonal events still play an important part in attracting fans back in. There is usually a little break between seasonal events, but the Chinese New Year is only a few more weeks away so there’s no time to rest. This is everything you need about the Overwatch 2022 Lunar Year event.
We have just a few hours before Overwatch’s Lunar Event launches, but at least we can now see two new skins (below), that will be available with the event. These include Nezha Tracer (Legendary), and Seolbim Merci (Legendary). We expect to see more later today.
Blizzard finally revealed the Overwatch Lunar New Year Event 2022. It will begin on January 25th and end February 15. Although the teaser (see below) doesn’t show any new skins, we can hear some characters speaking over slow pans of Chinese food. There are some new skins that might be teased by Overwatch on their social channels tonight (5pm to 6pm) in preparation for tomorrow’s event.
What is the Overwatch Lunar New Year event?
Overwatch hosts six seasonal events throughout the year like clockwork. Lunar New Year is a celebration of Chinese New Year. The festive cosmetics and rewards are heavily inspired by Chinese culture.
