Nintendo Direct: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 announced
MonolithSoft’s Xenoblade series is growing in popularity, building on its cult success. Xenoblade Chronicles was ported many times and remastered numerous times. This enduring popularity has led to the creation of a new franchise. The trilogy is now complete. The JRPG series will receive a third installment, as announced at Nintendo Direct. This is not the spinoff Xenoblade Chronicles X. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches on Nintendo Switch in September 2022.

Xenoblade is widely recognized for its unique iconography and style. So much so that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was immediately recognizable after just a few seconds of the trailer.

Many Nintendo fans were captivated by the Gaur Plains. Xenoblade has maintained a unique style, even as it moved to more anime-influenced characters models with Xenoblade 2.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3. History and Inspiration
Although Xenoblade is a fascinating and unique creation, it was not just an idea. The beloved Playstation RPG Xenogears is the inspiration for this series. He was even the director of Xenogears and a writer for two Xenoblade games.
JRPGs’ future?
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the third installment in a trilogy. It will need to perform well to compare to the other two. It seems to be on the right track so far. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 appears to have a large-scale conflict with its smaller-scale, but no less exciting, combat. This time, will politics and alliances play a significant role? With the JRPG pre-requisite, “Teens save and fight God?”
