GrubHub Collaboration: FFXIV offers a free emote
Square Enix is offering players the chance to get a new emote. This emotes are essential for pizza parties. It’s not entirely true, though, since pizza is available in Final Fantasy XIV. Square Enix has announced a partnership with GrubHub, offering the new “Eat Pizza” emote FFXIV.
The GrubHub account email will receive a code to redeem your emote from December 9, 2021, at 4:30 PM PST, to December 15, 2021, at 8:59 pm. The code can be redeemed on the Mog Station. This is a great option if you are into this sort of thing.
It appears that there are two distinct “Eat Pizza” emotive. Your Warrior of Light will enjoy the delicious goodness in one, while the other will give you a thumbs-up. The truth is that juvenile carapace-laden Testudines, possessed of ancient concealment techniques of Doma, could not do better. Assumedly, both players and their tie-in deal will include both emote.
This is not the first FFXIVcollaboration. Square Enix had previously collaborated with Japanese restaurant Lawson’s Chicken to create a Porxie mount. There were other prizes and an FFXIV-themed dinner if you happened to be in Japan at the time.
GrubHub is likely to receive a lot of orders this weekend as FFXIVplayers flood the app with requests for that sweet, sweet emote. I will order some Chipotle, probably while I wait in the long launch-week server queues. Logging in might be necessary if you need the Sage or Reaper guides or other helpful articles about aether currents and dungeons.
