Destiny 2 Launches Rite of the Nine Event Ahead of Edge of Fate Expansion
Bungie has launched a new in-game event, *Rite of the Nine*, for *Destiny 2* players, running from May 6 to July 15, 2025. This free event introduces a rotating schedule of three revamped dungeons—*Ghosts of the Deep*, *Prophecy*, and *Spire of the Watcher*—each with three difficulty settings: Explorer, Eternity, and Ultimatum.
Designed to cater to all playstyles, from casual solo players to hardcore fireteams, the event offers new weapons and exclusive rewards, including a Displate designed by artist Gabriel Flauzino. Difficulty level affects the challenge and rewards, with the hardest setting offering titles and Triumphs.
The event serves as a lead-in to the *Edge of Fate* expansion, launching July 15. Bungie also confirmed a follow-up expansion, *Renegades*, arriving December 2, featuring a crossover with Lucasfilm Games and Star Wars-themed content. A full reveal is scheduled for September.
