Snow Bros. has a similar gameplay to Bubble Bobble from 1986. Nick or Tom, the two snowmen characters, can be played by up to two people. The snow can be thrown by each player at their enemies. Each player can throw snow until the enemy is fully covered. A partially snow-covered enemy cannot move until the snow is removed.
The player may then roll the snowball to destroy an opponent. Snowballs bounce off walls and eventually smash against them. The snowball will roll into any enemies and eliminate them. Other stationary snowballs begin rolling as soon as the snowball hits the enemy. Bonus money falls from the skies if the player can eliminate all enemies by kicking just one snowball. This snowball can be used to bounce other snowballs around, increasing the chance of pulling this trick.
