Sonic Mania pays homage to the quadrilogy original Sonic games for the Genesis and surpasses both in quality and gameplay. It feels as if the game picks up right where Sonic and Knuckles ended but with much-improved gameplay. Both the level design and soundtrack are stunning. Sonic Mania has been one of only a few games that have lived up to the hype in the last decade. It is worth checking out.
