Need for Speed Heat is a simulation of arcade racing that features an open-world game with a wide range of vehicles from an assortment of marques. The tale begins when police chief Mercer can catch one of the racers at night races that are regulated by law. Mercer decides not to place him in prison, instead, he asks the driver to transmit a message to the police that they should not let other criminals know. They must stop evening rides and move out of the city.
