About WWE 2K15
WWE 2K15 is a professional wrestling video game created in collaboration with Yuke’s Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
WWE 2K15 is a sign of the beginning of a “new generation”, which will focus on making the series into a real wrestling experience and not “a fighting game with WWE Superstars in it.” The brand new “chain wrestling” mini-game is now available (exclusive for consoles of the current generation and PCs only) to let matches appear more authentically.
The grapple button press during the start of the game will trigger the collar and elbow tie-up. When the match begins, tie up, the opponent must press one of the three face buttons to lock the opponent in the side headlock, wrist lock, or waist lock which has a rock-paper-scissors kind of result. (Headlock beats Wrist lock, Wrist lock beats Waist lock, Waist lock beats Headlock.) The winner will put their opponent in a similar grip, as each player rotates the left analogue stick (space and movement keys on a PC) in search of a “sweet spot”.
If the opponent discovers it first then they’ll execute a move but if the defense discovers it first then they’ll get the advantage. The wrestler attacking could strike or break the limb of their opponent and make it difficult to locate the perfect place. The mini-game is played out only a few times throughout the game and is turned off by selecting the option menu. Strikes have been restored to normal speeds, but with better collision and animations that sell off the opponents. In contrast to previous matches, stars will not get on their feet immediately after absorbing the impact of a slam or bump. Sometimes, they’ll stay in their position for a few seconds, based on their endurance.
