About Sleeping Dogs
Sleeping Dogs is an action-adventure video game created by United Front Games and published by Square Enix. The player plays Wei Shen, a Chinese-American police officer that goes undercover to infiltrate an organization called the Sun On Yee Triad organisation. The first missions in the game consist of a sequential training for the player to manage his character.
Following these tasks players are able to discover the world of the game and participate in additional assignments and various other tasks. Shen travels around the world leaping, running and climbing over obstacles swimming and driving boats, cars and motorbikes. The head-up display (HUD) interface comes with an interactive map that shows the locations of targets, important points (safe residences and points of contact) and the current position of Shen.
The mini-map is comprised of two meters. One shows Shen’s health while the other shows his face. If the face meter is full the upgrade options are not available including healing, better fighting abilities, and less expenses for equipment. The HUD shows the type of weapon used and the ammunition counts.
