People who love Turok want to be able to see Turok’s IP revived for new consoles. And you cannot be blamed for the players.

Turok is a relic of the old. Turok: Dinosaur Hunter began its journey to 1997. Then the restarted Turok coming later in the year 2008. My hands are up. I’m a Gen Z-er. As of 2008, I’m pretty sure I was playing High School Musical 2 Work It outor the Sims 2 the Life in an Apartment Life. I wasn’t yet fully accustomed to shooters and didn’t play these games (or something else) when I was in 1997.

As I look back, I recognize what a great game Turok is. The latest entry, Turok was made in collaboration with Propaganda Games and published by Disney Interactive Studios. Game players portrayed the role of a space marine Joseph Turok who was sent to an unknown planet in search of his previous commander General Roland Kane. The problem was that Propaganda Games was closed following publication, which ruined the chance that a sequel would ever come into existence.

It’s a pity as Turok was not an awful reboot. The film didn’t get the same level of praise that the critically popular Turok: Dinosaur Hunter however. In social media, the fans are expressing their wish for the franchise to get another shot. “No but seriously where is my Turok reboot?” wrote an individual on Twitter with the addition, “I’m serious. Find the heck out of there. Native American actors, some awesome dinosaurs, and a few bizarre strange aliens … Why do we not paying for this?”

Tenacious_diaz proposes that the reboot should be “a Doom 2016 style Turok reboot”. The user late90zkid stated, “We need a refreshing refresh. Turok could be a cult character similar to Doom Guy,” thinking on the same lines. The issue comes down to the person who owns the copyright to the IP.

It’s unlikely that there will be a revival any time soon, but you can’t think of it as a niether. A lot of studios are considering revisiting their older series as we enter an era where nostalgia is strongly favored. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and pray that it will be the most successful.
