“Fallout4” PS5, Xbox Series X Free update released by Bethesda
Fans of Fallout 4 have long anticipated an upgrade that brings it into the next-gen visual fidelity era.
Bethesda has been hard at work trying to port Fallout 4 onto modern consoles, though progress seems slow given its sheer scale and sheer number of textures and models that require updating.
Bethesda recently took to Twitter to update fans that work was still going forward on Fallout 4 Next Gen update and thank them for being patient as work continued, offering this statement: “Thanks for being part of our Fallout 4 Next-gen Update community – we know you’re excited too, as are we! But please bear with us as we need additional time until releasing an exciting return of Commonwealth in 2024.” While no concrete release date was provided by Bethesda it’s good that work still ongoing is being undertaken and progress being made toward completion!
Fallout 4 from Bethesda remains one of the premier post-apocalyptic RPG experiences available today and many players continue exploring its wastelands while we eagerly anticipate its sequel, Fallout 5. According to Todd Howard, Bethesda chief, Fallout 5 will follow The Elder Scrolls 6, which still seems far away; its development team recently switched over from Starfield development.
Fallout 4 represented a huge advance for the franchise with features like outpost construction incorporated directly into Starfield. There has long been debate as to which game is superior; personally I prefer Fallout 3’s story over that of its successors.
Update was initially scheduled to launch in 2023 but seems destined for postponement. We know its focus will include performance mode that provides players with increased framerate, 4K quality graphics quality mode support as well as bug fixes and quality-of-life enhancements.
