There are many different cultures that we’ve encountered through the marvels of Assassin’s creed. The past is exposed so that you can sway around like a stylish assassin. But for some AC gamers, what’s been seen before just isn’t enough there’s a tiny group of players eager to experience an “stupidly large” Roman Empire setting.

The “dream” has been posted via Reddit and several others had admitted they are also hoping that Ubisoft can allow one of its assassins go deep into this “entire” Roman Empire. They aren’t content with a tiny snippet of this period of time and want to be able to view every explicit aspect.

“Ever since I’ve was a player in Origins particularly after having played Odyssey I’ve been thinking about the awesomeness it would be to play the possibility of having an AC game that was set within the Roman Empire or the whole Roman Empire that is,” posted on vg_vassilev.

“They are Ubisofthave already have Greece, Egypt and England in the works, and they have previous had experience in Italy as well as France. Add the remaining 1/4 in Europe that is part of the Middle East and North Africa And there you are.”

It’s logical isn’t it. As another player stated that a similar game could appear to be hugely ambitious in size. “I consider that exceedingly ambitious. Ubisoft is already struggling to fill maps that are currently in use and therefore making them larger seems like a bad idea.” They also added “The alternative is an area that is smaller than what you see however, it expands multiple times over through the years, completing each piece of the empire.”

Ah, the old good fashioned game of milking for what it’s worth. But it’s a great compromise that could see dreams become reality in a gradual manner over months or even several years instead of in one go. We’d definitely be interested in any AC book that gives the same amount – and we’ll certainly be able to get the most value for our money.

However, with Ubisoft developing the development of a Hogwarts Legacy-style RPG, any hopes of seeing an assassin robbing across the Roman Empire is greatly diminished. Additionally, Ubisoft has a number of codename projects in progress including AC Hexe which they are focusing on.
