Fortnite “OG” has been a huge achievement for the multiplayer battle royale, so to the point that it exploded its number of players in the last month.

The next season in Fortnite is upon us and is once more altering the game through the release of skins with new designs including Metal Gear Solid’s Solid Snake and Family Guy’s Peter Griffin, a new map and an exciting LEGO mode.

There’s a good chance that battle royale’s popularity has reached an all-time high due to the last season’s “OG game,’ which returned the map to the original layout from the time that the game was first launched and became a hit. Some weren’t but, while some enjoyed the nostalgia of experiencing old locations and things are reintroduced There’s a possibility that the change made it less fun to those not wearing an eyeglasses with rose tints.

However, things are, at least, returning to normal however, the “OG” season left an indelible mark, since the players’ count was reported to have reached its peak at the end of November due to an upgrade.

As per Epic Games itself, over 100 million players played the game throughout November. This included 44.7 million players online in the same day. It is a brilliant idea in that the OG map targeted those who are who were looking for something different to play in addition to previous players who had dropped in the wake of the launch of game modes that were more complicated and gameplay mechanics.

In a tweet from a few days ago, Epic Games responded to fan comments by commenting “The OG season far exceeded our expectations,” and also teased its returning next year, when it stated “We’d like to bring it back… *opens 2024 roadmap doc*”

It’s unclear if this will be the same map, but in a distinct game mode or a different OG season that brings the map of the past, remains to be determined however it’s a lot of fun.

Fortnite is in the initial episode of its fifth season and it is available for free across Xbox, PlayStation, PC as well as Nintendo platforms.
