Ubisoft gamers believe Watch Dogs was unfairly criticized and it is an excellent game if you are willing to give it a shot.

In an era that is full of poorly-made games as well as poor business methods bad press for an event can mean its demise, whether merited or not.

However, it can also mean that people aren’t willing to give it to try because they’ve heard that other users have expressed their displeasure with the game.

A Reddit blog post was designed to question this idea by asking players “What game that many people hate did you find yourself surprisingly enjoying upon playing?”

One answer that stood out from all the others is Watch Dogs, the Ubisoft hacker game that is open to the world. The game is scheduled for release due to marketing shady.

The player stated that the game had been “correctly hated for deceiving the player base before release,” however, they said that they thoroughly enjoyed the game noting that it had a “story was intriguing, the mechanics were interesting, and I do love a game with an unlikeable protagonist.”

Other fans gathered with them, sharing their passion for their sport and the fact that it is deserving of more recognition than it receives.

One player said: ” Watch Dogs remains one of my favourite scenes in any video game. If you must ambush your gang members to meet.”

A different version: “OG Watch Dogs is always one of my top games. I recall buying the game, then playing it just after noon, and then launching into the game’s story. I couldn’t shut off my game until I had completed it.”

Then, someone mentioned, ” Watch Dogs was badass and made you feel like John Wick before John Wick.”

In spite of the poor reception, Watch Dogs was able to overcome all odds and turn into a major Ubisoft IP, with a sequel that received more favourably than the original in addition to a new game that was also a success with players as well as critics.

If you’re not yet playing Watch Dogs and would like to try it the game is currently accessible via Ubisoft’s UbisoftPlus subscription program.
