Halo 2 is now playable as a third-person player It feels completely legal
Modders have created Halo Combat Evolution along with Halo 2 an entirely new view 3rd person and it’s cursed.
Halo is without any doubt the most successful first-person shooter franchises that have ever been created. The series slowly declined as Bungie quit the game but the initial three games Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST seem to remain afloat in age.
However, let me ask this: what happens if you took the perspective of a first-person taken from one of the greatest first-person shooters that ever existed? It becomes the greatest third-person shooter that has ever been created rather than.
This is true if you’re playing with PC you have use two mods available that are available from NexusMods that were created by Davide Di Fortunato, which transform the camera of Halo Combat Evolvedand Halo 2 to third-person. It is possible to download Halo CE here, and the Halo CE one here, as well as it’s the Halo 2 one here.
This time, the camera changes only depending on whether you’re holding the weapon, something you’re not performing when you begin your campaigns in each game. If you do eventually grab a weapon, however, you’ll be able to see the full effect of the modification.
A bit in a strange way, Halo games lend themselves very well to third-person play. every vehicle segment shifts the camera towards third person when aim-assist is turned up, aim is exactly the same as it is with the standard game. The advantage is that you are more aware of your surroundings that is helpful in situations where you’re chased by one of the Elite who is armed with an energy weapon or being surrounded by The Flood.
The modder only modified third-person for the initial two games, there’s other mods available that will alter perspectives for the remainder of the games. Therefore, theoretically, you could complete a full playthrough for the Halo series using a unlucky camera angles.
