GTA 6 announcement called out by furious fanatics
It appears that patience is becoming stale for the fans eager for Grand Theft Auto, with many fans asking what the point is of Rockstar even mentioning development when they didn’t plan to publish additional updates.
The work on Grand Theft Auto VI Grand Theft Auto VIwas first revealed by Rockstar in February 2022. It’s been nearly two years since the announcement. The studio has yet to provide any further details about the game, which is causing fans to question the reason it decided to release the game so soon. With potential release dates appearing on the internet and fans searching for leaks to find anything that is official, It appears Rockstar has its card close to its chest.
The decision to keep quiet is not getting a good reception from those who took to Reddit to ask questions about the decision of the studio. “Why did Rockstar announce that they were working on GTA VI in 2022?” One message stated. “Since the announcement in February of 2022, there have yet to be any official announcements about the game. What’s the reason they’re announcing it this quickly if they’re not planning to keep us informed about the development of the game or even make any announcements?”
There are a lot of comments that point to Rockstar making this announcement as an attempt to control damage in the wake of criticism following the launch of Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Final Edition at the end of 2021. The game was criticized because of its dated images and characters that appeared more dated in 2021 than they did when it was released in the early 2000s.
A third user suggests that the studio doesn’t know how to proceed after numerous leaks emerged online this year. “Honestly, I think they keep changing their minds on what to do – I think they were thinking about revealing the game not long after the leaks, hence them saying we’ll hear more about it in the coming months,” the user said. “Pretty certain they’d mentioned the game a few times after, and it’s nearly a year later, and still no announcement. I’m guessing that we will not hear anything next year, but what can we be sure of? Only time will reveal.”
We’ll never know why Grand Theft Auto VI is not getting much attention. However, it hasn’t kept enthusiasts from making the hype on the go. Let’s hope that this highly anticipated sequel proves worth the hype.
