The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been criticized for being one of the weakest games in the RPG trilogy. I’m not sure I agree.
Ubisoft’s mainstay series, Assassin’s Creed, has returned in significant ways due to its latest game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The latest installment of the series brings the franchise back to its original roots, the espionage and stealth genre, all while perfectly condensing the game’s size as well as shifting the emphasis to its original theme of the Order of Assassins.
There was a lot of controversy when it came to new releases, especially the RPG trilogy that comprised Assassin’s Creed Origins, the most popular of the trilogy, Assassin’s Conquest Odyssey, an excellent RPG; however, it’s a poor AC game. Then, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which some players feel was considered too harsh.
The central issue in The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is that it’s large and has a fantastic map but can be a nightmare to navigate, and the narrative wasn’t awe-inspiring as well.
In looking back at all 3 RPG Assassin’s Creed games, many believe that Valhalla is the weakest out of all. The same argument was confirmed in a Reddit article from Buurto, arguing Origins, as well as Odyssey, were the games with more attraction.
A majority of people agreed that they’re never willing to play Valhalla or complete the game because the setting stories, characters, and story aren’t as compelling or attract the same kind of enthusiasm as the previous games.

“Completely agree. I’ve tried reinstalling Valhalla 3 times before and cannot get it to work. Mirage was difficult to entice me with because I thoroughly loved Odyssey as well as Origins; however, I’m enjoying Mirage at this point.”
The future Assassin’s Creed titles are expected to vary from smaller and more focused games such as Mirage as well as more extensive open-world experiences, like the coming game Assassin’s Creed Red.
