Dredge was one of 2023’s biggest indie games, attracting players with its innovative application of Lovecraftian mythology and captivating game loops. When you put players in the cockpit of a fishing boat, it is easy to become scared of darkness due to its glowing eyes and terrifying noises. Eventually, however, they were accustomed to danger, and the fearsome unknown became an everyday part of their lives.

Yet, the players are still begging for a DLC or an expansion of the game, and their prayer to the deep ones, also known as the creators of Black Salt Games -, has been answered. The latest trailer showcases the Arctic theme of the expansion, with different creatures, as well as horrors that lurk beneath the freezing seas.

It’s called “The Pale Reach,’ and it seems like the cold look has been embraced. Various creatures appear to be attacking the poor dinghy being used by the player, such as a crab snatching off the shore and a wide-eyed Narwhal-like creature leaping out of the waters. The fabled fishing game is being played out with various fresh species of fish caught in the cold waters, showing that the game isn’t only despair, doom, and gloom. It’s the majority of.

What time is The Pale Reach Dredge expansion launch?

The Pale Reach expansion of Dredge was announced in a PlayStation Blog article. According to Nadia Thorne, Producer at Black Salt Games, it’s an enormous new expansion that will continue the story, including new areas and adventures.

The official game trailer has excited fans, and players will not have to wait too long to receive access to the new expansion. It’s the Pale Reach expansion releases on every platform on the 16th of November 2023.

The price isn’t known now, but it’s expected to fall in the PS9.99/$10.99 area, which would be about half the price for the base game. Additional details from the announcement by the developers include:

  • Three to four hours of video content that is playable anytime throughout the course of
  • A brand-new side story
  • Three pieces of new equipment will catch eleven species of crab and fish.
  • The latest addition to the craftable boat for slamming through the ice
  • Ice blocks that can be purchased to prolong the shelf-life of catch
  • Eight new achievements

In addition, the announcement page also revealed that another expansion, named The Iron Rig, is being developed. The announcement post doesn’t provide any information regarding a release time, but it’s evident that Dredge remains a long way from in the nightmares of players.
