Mod Dramatic Ragdoll’s Overhaul alters how your character and NPCs, respond to being struck or shot during the game. The creator of the mod, Geologist, says the mod provides the most dramatic and cinematic experience to combat between enemies because NPCs now can perform diverse motions after being removed.
There are reports of “NPCs grabbing [their] head and stumbling around when shot in head; NPCs freeze, look down at wound, and then stare at you when shot in abdomen (only happens when shot with pistol or revolver); Different reactions when shot with different ammo types; NPCs fall instantly when knocked out; When hit with a throwing item, they will fall, or they will stumble around for a bit; NPCs launch when shot with shotgun.”
Although Red Dead Redemption 2 does not lack realism within the game’s base, the dramatic Ragdoll overhaul mod brings the game closer to being the cinematic western that it’s based on, making shootouts far more fun.
