NASCAR Thunder 2004 is an action-packed Racing, Sports video game. The main attraction of this release is its innovative “Grudges and Alliances” feature which gauges players based on driving style and attitude. If a player engages in any kind of reckless driving and unwittingly collides with other drivers, even accidentally, that driver becomes their rival and could bump into them later during a race.
However, by draft-ing their opponent (an innovative feature of this game), their level of grudge drops significantly and, should they draft neutral drivers long enough, may become your “Allies”, occasionally even helping you pass by! Conversely, when players collide with an ally during a race, their alliance gradually declines – the maximum severity value for grudges and alliances being either -100 or +100 respectively.
