Call of Duty is an action videogame featuring first-person shooter elements set during World War II, developed by American studio Infinity Ward and published by Activision for personal computers – with its first world premier occurring October 29, 2003 year, before debuting officially worldwide later that same month in Poland (December 5). It became part of their Call of Duty franchise of computer games.
Action Call of Duty takes place between 1942-1945 on several battlefields of World War II. The player assumes command over troops such as Americans, British and Soviet soldiers fighting German invaders. Driven by player characters, player characters are immersed in both frontline activities as well as raids behind enemy lines. The emphasis in the game lies on working alongside computer-controlled allied soldiers while dodging enemy fire by seeking cover and remaining out of sight of hostile fire. Players take on various tasks ranging from destroying enemy buildings and freeing prisoners, to setting up and maintaining hostile sectors. There’s an extensive single player campaign as well as two distinct multiplayer game variants for multiplayer play – as both teams of two participate simultaneously!
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was developed by the creators of Call of Duty, another World War II-themed videogame produced by them [13]. After its release it received mostly positive reviews from reviewers who lauded its audiovisual settings, intensity gameplay, monumental battles and monumental nature while criticising some aspects such as simplistic gameplay [14]. Martin had successfully destroyed two German tanks before leading his troops through a breach in the wall to reach heavily guarded mortar positions [23][24] After the liquidation of his crew department, Martin travels alongside Sergeant Moody and serial Elder to inform staff about the capture of Village Field. Moody drives his car along N13 while being pursued by German soldiers; Martin and Elder fire from behind it while American troops fall into German’s trap causing the car’s destruction; Elder steals one but becomes part of an aggressive Kubelwagen fleet and American soldiers arrive safely [25][26].
Sergeant Moody carried wounded soldiers back before getting hit himself – giving Martin explosives that would go on two more runs and ultimately clear Brecourt of Germans. American forces then attacked Brecourt, purifying its inhabitants from German forces before attacking Brecourt itself – clearing its streets from German presence [27][28]. [27][28].
