Rockstar Games’ fans are divided at present. One half is patiently waiting to hear about Grand Theft Auto VI and the other wants more Red Dead Redemption, specifically, a remake.

In a recent podcast, Rob Wiethoff announced that, as the voice of Red Dead Redemption’s protagonist John Marston in the game, he would be delighted to reprise this role for Red Dead Redemption 3.

Wiethoff is interested in working on the remastering of Red Dead Redemption. It was originally released back in 2010 and was a massive success. This led to a prequel/sequel Red Dead Redemption 2, which was released this year.

Wiethoff, who is a voice actor, was interviewed on the Dan Allen Gaming Podcast. When asked if he would like to return for a second ride, he said: “I’d love to see it happen. I would be thrilled to have the opportunity to work again with Rockstar Games, whether that means remastering or creating something completely different.”

“I don’t know. Rockstar is a great company. “If they do this, it would be great.”

Rockstar has already remastered GTA III and GTA Vice City in Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, but it was met with severe criticism for the poor quality of this remaster. Grand Theft Auto IV also received a remake. However, it is believed that this project was abandoned before development began.

The studio would need to be on their game if they were to remake Red Dead Redemption or else face the fury of a dedicated army of fans that will defend the series until their last breath.
