Former developers of the Halo and Call Of Duty franchises have joined forces to create a new FPS IP called Sentinel. It was created using Unreal Engine 5.

The player is a space Viking who fights an alien menace that threatens to wipe out humanity. The player must navigate a dangerous and vast planet using various weapons and grenades.

Pathless Productions, a development team, shared a video showing what the current game looks like. Despite it being early on in its lifespan, the graphics are pretty impressive.

It’s clear that Call of Duty and Halo are the inspiration. Even the heads-up display is similar to those of Spartans in Halo. Unreal Engine 5 looks stunning. The world, combat, lighting, and explosion effects are all visually appealing. It’s a clean, vibrant world that will look even more stunning when the game is complete.

Sentinel, which is still in the very early stages of development, has no release date or location yet, but it will likely be the only PC. The project is currently without a publisher, and this could hinder its release in the future. However, given that it was developed by Call Of Duty and Halo developers, it will likely eventually find a publisher. The title may also be released on consoles such as the Xbox Series 5 or Xbox Series S in the near future if the project is picked up by the right publisher.

It’s definitely worth keeping an eye on this game, as it will be interesting to watch its evolution over time. Although it is unlikely that it will reach the same level of success as its Titan predecessors, halo: combat evolved began as an idea at Bungie and grew to be a huge hit with Microsoft. So who knows?
