GTA 6 job listing provides very promising updates.
Grand Theft Auto VI fans alike would welcome any updates we can find for it, yet Rockstar Games remains tight-lipped on what their plans may entail despite an array of leaks and speculation surrounding this project.
Last year, Rockstar Games was hit with an unprecedented cyber-attack that leaked an hour’s worth of GTA VI development footage and source code online as well as various screenshots. More recently, fans fell prey to hoaxers after an advert appeared for what seemed like GTA VI on YouTube as part of an advert campaign set up on the Hoaxers’ part – however, this debacle turned out not to be real after fans created a huge concept map from leaks that closely matches up with final version (GTA V’s concept map closely matches final release), making today hopeful news in terms of an update regarding GTA VI release dates!
GameRant reported on an interesting job posting that may shed some light on where GTA VI stands in development: Rockstar Studios are hiring voiceover directors; per the listing: “Rockstar is seeking an experienced Director with proven success creating riveting performances for theatre, television, or film to join our groundbreaking video games development efforts!”
GameRant details this job by noting it involves overseeing “VO sessions ranging from main story content, NPC dialogue, exertions, and exertion” while “maintaining the nuance and continuity of the game’s narrative”. According to GameRant, this could imply GTA VI has finished script development altogether but I suggest taking things a step further by going a bit beyond.
Given how long GTA VI has been under development and last year’s leak, Rockstar could now be ready to look past GTA VI for inspiration for future projects – we all hope for Red Dead Redemption 3, but anything could happen with Rockstar! One thing’s for certain – something is cooking somewhere – we just can’t wait to find out more.
