PlayStation fans have begun deliberations regarding which console-exclusive series should receive its own anime adaptation.

Sony recently confirmed animated projects are in development through PlayStation Productions – the same company responsible for producing The Last Of Us on HBO Max as well as contributing to God Of War and Horizon TV shows. Now a prominent leaker has shared on Twitter an unverifiable rumor stating a PlayStation game may soon become an anime show.

As details about these projects remain hazy, many fans speculate on which franchises could get their very own anime series.

There have been some fantastic suggestions, like Bloodborne, Uncharted, Gravity Rush, and Ratchet & Clank; I think we all agree a Bloodborne anime would make for an awesome feature film adaptation!

Most likely, an animated television show based on one of Gravity Rush, Ratchet & Clank, or Jak and Daxter franchises would make sense.

God of War and Horizon are likely, not viable options given they already have series on Prime Video and Netflix respectively; unfortunately, a Horizon anime would likely make for an amazing sight to behold!

At PlayStation Showcase 2017, it would be good to get more details, even if just teasers. Sony has done very well adapting game source material into TV shows – The Last Of Us earned average viewers per episode while streaming and was enjoyed by 32 million+. If this same strategy is applied to God Of War and Horizon we could potentially witness many more TV adaptations down the road.

One thing is certain – all will likely far surpass Xbox’s Halo TV Series attempt.
