The Swapper is a puzzle platform video game that runs on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Facepalm Games, an independent Finnish company, developed the game and published it.
Curve Studios later port the game to Sony and Nintendo platforms. The Swapper is an side-scrolling puzzle platformer set in a science-fiction universe. The player plays as a person who is trapped on a damaged space station, searching for escape routes.
They must first explore the station to find orbs that can activate doors and allow them to move on to the next level. Some concepts from “Metroidvania”, such as the need to navigate the station and find orbs that activate certain doors, are used in this game.
The player also gets a hand-held tool to clone objects, which allows them to solve puzzles in order to collect orbs.
