Overview Dolmen:
Dolmen places players on a hostile alien planet known as Revision Prime. Your job? Send back crystal samples with unusual properties, the so-called “Dolmen” These crystals can allow interaction between realities. They revolutionize space exploration and change the world forever. You will become stronger in Dolmen with every battle.
You will have a variety of weapons and moves to choose from in this combat system. To defeat the most difficult Revision Prime enemies, you can switch between melee or ranged combat. Dolmen is all about energy management. Energy can be used to activate “Energy Mode” and ranged weapons. Energy Mode imbues your melee weapon with elemental state effects that allow you to take full advantage of your enemy’s weaknesses.
Untold beauty lies in the shadows. Are you ready to discover all that Revision Prime has in store for you? Or will you be pushed to the edge of your death by this cruel world? This world doesn’t want you to survive. Will your timeline be erased? Or will you rise to the challenge ahead of you? You have 3 bars. Two of them work as normal: stamina and health. Then there is energy.
Energy supports your ranged attacks and recharges automatically (slowish) when you hit enemies with melee (faster depending on which perks you have). You can also press the button (Y on the pad), to enter energy mode. This allows you to use your melee attacks without regard for stamina and let them recharge but instead use energy. Status effects and elemental damage are also available. Your energy bar is only really depleted during healing. To recharge, you can use energy-Estus flasks (4 to begin with, but they are temporary in the levels).
