Unreal Engine 5 was first released in Early Access in 2020 and has been steadily building its reputation as one of the most popular game engines. Epic Games’ engine is a continuation of a legacy of more than 20 years. It has been a major influence on the design of video games for many generations. This will continue, as the list confirms that UE5 was used.

Many of the games that use Unreal Engine 5 are still under development so it may be some time before they become available. A few others have not yet revealed the engine they are using, keeping the mystery surrounding their release. We have compiled them all below so that you can easily track them.

More titles will use its capabilities as they become available. These include the impressive Nanite geometry system, which dramatically improves the level of geometric detail, and Lumen, which is a dynamic global illumination solution that could be game-changing in-game lighting.

Fortnite

Fortnite was transformed by Unreal Engine 4 into a battle royale phenomenon. Epic Games’ flagship game is doing well, but it will make the transition to Unreal Engine 5 in 2022, taking advantage its new suite features.

ArcheAge II

ArcheAge II, the sequel to XLGAMES’ popular MMORPG MMORPG, is in its early stages of development. It will continue to consider freedom one of its core design principles.

Dragon Quest XII – The Flames of Fate

Dragon Quest XII The Flames of Fate, the next mainline entry, was revealed at the end of May. It uses Unreal Engine 5 and features a new logo. This is all we know for now, but Square Enix could share more information in the future.
