An art developer for Dead Space Remake live-streamed earlier today. He showed several pieces of concept art and went into detail about the game. It was stressed repeatedly that the concept art displayed is not indicative of the final product, but rather a representation of what the developers hope for by remaking the classic.
The developers did indeed outline three factors they strictly adhered to in order to make the game as terrifying as possible.
- Horror atmosphere and storytelling.
- Immersive gameplay and a world.
- A world that feels alive and has a past.
In July 2021, the Dead Space remake was announced. It is a remake of the 2008 original game. EA Motive will handle the development of the game since Visceral Games, the original game developer, was shut down by EA in 2017. If you are a Star Wars fan, Motive may be familiar to you as they worked on Star Wars: Squadrons. They have promised to keep the game as faithful as possible while keeping various story elements, characters, and mechanics as fresh as possible.
They stated that they want to preserve the feel and look of the original game while improving it with next-generation technology.
