Season Two of ‘Loki” will feature one major change
We enjoyed last year’s excellent first season of Loki. It was based on one of our favorite Marvel characters, and we have been eagerly anticipating the second season.
Although the next season has been announced, little information is available. Michael Waldron, executive producer, and the head writer will be back now that his latest project Doctor Strange in The Multiverse Of Madness, has been released in cinemas. Waldron shared some cheeky details with Digital Spy about the new series in a chat this week (3 May).
First, Eric Martin will take over as head writer. This means that Waldron will be leaving. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who directed many episodes of Marvel’s newest hit series Moon Knight, have been appointed as new directors.
Waldron had some concerns while working on the sequel to Doctor Strange. Waldron was concerned about the new film’s twist on Marvel Cinematic Universe. It can be not easy to keep track of a multiverse that is interconnected and time-traveling, especially when it is so complex.
“We worked hard on Loki to make it as tight as possible. There were moments when I felt like, “Oh, s**t! I wish I hadn’t” defined it so clearly. It’s hard to believe that I was so precise in my television time-travel show about the rules and multiverse.
Waldron will not be restricting things in the future. He stated that he was “lucky”, that the Doctor Strange2team was so open to his points, which he had made clear in the series. It is important to have a common language for all of this, or it can get confusing.
Waldron wasn’t too specific about the plot, but he did offer some hints. Waldron said, “Well, I mean… Look, everything leads to everything. – There’s more mischief than you can imagine, as Tom [Hiddleston] once stated.
