EA Announces New F1 Game by Codemasters
EA has given fans a brief glimpse at the next F1 title following a YouTube live stream.
The game will be released on July 1 and promises the “biggest shakeup in over a decade” and “a redefined experience for race day.”
What does this all mean in practice? Many changes will go along with the gaming debut of the new series of cars.

These additions are not all that the game offers, but they allow players to “step into Formula 1(r),” a world where supercars, clothes, and accessories can be displayed.
The refurbishment of on-track racing was also completed by Lee Mather, F1(r), Senior Creative Director at Codemasters. He explained: “In addition to the real-world changes we have updated the Physics to accommodate the new aero rules. We also re-worked and improved the tyre design, making the handling more lifelike.”
These physics updates include introducing an adaptive AI system that scales opponents’ skills to the players, VR functionality on the PC, and redefined practice programs to help you sharpen your skills for race day.
When you are ready to go, there is a choice. “The redefined race day allows players the ability to customize their setup with new Immersive or Broadcast options that affect formation laps and safety car periods.” Immersive offers more challenges for experienced racers.
A few of the returning game modes have been improved, with My Team allowing players to select three different starting budgets and the existing career and multiplayer modes from F1 previous games.
