The Runtime of Doctor Strange 2 Confirms a Surprisingly Slim Marvel Movie
Doctor Strange in The Multiverse Of Madness will be released in less than a month. Fans are eager for the biggest crossover of Marvel yet.
Sir Patrick Stewart, who will be reprising his role as Professor Charles Xavier from the X-Men, has been confirmed as appearing in Doctor Strange 2. There have been rumours that many more characters will appear in the sequel, including Halle Berry as Storm and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. However, no official confirmation has been given. It was expected that Doctor Strange2 would feature a large number of returning characters.
Three weeks ago, a runtime of 148 minutes was found on ticket pre-orders. Doctor Strange 2 would have been approximately 2 hours and 28 mins long, exactly the same length as Spider-Man: The Way Home. Marvel may have tried to replicate the success of the Spider-Man movie’s latest release, given how popular it was.
Disney changed its release schedule, shifting the movie’s release date from March to May. Comic Book discovered that updated theatre listings now show a runtime in the range of 2 hours 6 minutes, 22 minutes less than originally reported. The timing could have been incorrectly published or the film was cut.
The Batman was recently released. While it was a great financial success, many people were critical of the 2 hours and 56-minute runtime. Doctor Strange2 may be looking a bit lean. Marvel may have noticed that fans value quality over quantity.
