Mohammad Fahmi, Afterlove EP developer and Coffee Talk, has died at 32
Mohammad Fahmi (creator and writer of the visual book) died last night at 32.
Toge Productions also posted on Fahmi’s death with the following message: “Thanks for everything you had to do for Toge Production, the indie gaming industry, and for your friends… We will never forget about you and will always remember you.”
Twitter and other social media platforms have been filled with condolences, stories, and messages about the impact of his death on the game development community, particularly for developers from Southeast Asia.
Fahmi had been working on Afterlove before his death. It will launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this summer. Publisher Fellow Traveler has published an official statement, stating that its priority now is to support Fahmi and the Pikselnesia team during this difficult time.” It also stated that it does not have any information on how this will impact the timeline and development of Afterlove and requests patience from all those involved as they grieve and assess.
Fahmi posted on Twitter that his family would handle any unfinished business while he is away.
Fahmi has a long history in the gaming industry. He worked on many sides of the game industry before coffee talk. His career included programming and design at Gameloft and writing and managing at Tech in Asia Indonesia. Then, he was Marketing and PR Manager at Toge Productions. Finally, he directed, wrote, and designed Coffee Talk.
